Oh..no…not blogging!

I realized that my mom hasn’t been updating my blog since quite some time. You know I was going through terrible twos….. I heard it affects parents a lot. My poor mom and dad…they really suffered. When they are at home I control them completely. Life is all about me..me..and me…feeding me, bathing me, playing with me,reading me stories, taking me to park, putting me to bed..etc. My mom says when she is at work she is much more relaxed.

Now I can communicate better. My mom encourages me to talk than screaming and kicking. She says I am a big boy and I am 3 years old. But I occasionally lose control, usually it is when I have to share or wait for turn.

Savita Auntie

I have been going to Savita auntie’s house since march ‘05. She took very good care of me. My friends there are Isha, Ishika, Tanvi, Arnav and Srijith. I took a long time to make friends there, well..that’s my nature. Now I really like her and all my friends there. But tomorrow is my last day at Savita auntie’s place. After that I am going to a big school. Mom said I will have new friends and new toys.

Condi and West Asia Diplomacy

All this news hoopla about Condoleezza Rice doing this enormous amount of work to stop the violence seems to be utterly pointless and makes the American press look extremely stupid. How can the main party in the war be a part of the diplomatic solution, unless she has a speciality in negotiating with herself?

It seems to be clear to the rest of the world that IDF is pushing buttons on weapons made in the US and hastily supplied to them via UK.

All that is needed, is for Mr Bush to pick up the phone and talk some Texan with Mr Olmert - the way he did with Musharraf a few years ago.

Using people like Rice and Powell to put a diplomatic face on military offsensives are an insult to the intelligence of most readers.

When the weak get weapons

What the policy makers in Israel and USA are overlooking in the clearly assymetrical war that’s going on in the middle east is: the rate at which deadly weapons are available to individuals wanting to inflict mass destruction.

That’s not to say that every country should give in to terrorist black mail. On the other hand, killing hundreds of civilians on the basis of military superiority, might create enmity that might last a few generations. The cost of this might be a lot more 50 or a 100 years from now.

Walking in woods

On July 4th weekend we went on a long drive to “Jungle”. Since my mom read me the story of little red riding hood I have been fascinated by jungle. I wanted to walk in the woods like red riding hood. So we went to the Sequoia national park, a place filled with giant trees. We hiked on a trail to see General Sherman tree, the largest tree in this world. I was worried about the big bad wolf. So I picked up a fallen branch to “gandi pett” (kick the butt) it. I was prepared for an encounter with wolf. But we had a safe hike to General Sherman. After that we drove around to see more trees. We also saw the second highest mountain in USA, Mount Whitney. Next day we drove back home. I had a great time with Nikkianna and Neha.
