It’s even now

This probably is the best possible ending to the row over cartoons offending Islam. Instead of burning embassies, they should just excersize their
“freedom of speech” and be done with the whole thing, so that the next time, the other side is more sensitive.

This happens every 5-10 years in Indian newspapers as well. Normally I’d say we need more of these to reduce what seems to be over-sensitivity (to the untrained eyes of a disinterested third party) of either side in this war of civilizations. But everyime this happens, more people get killed, which is bad.

Unfortunately these things are sometimes calculated plans of a few crooked people who want to keep the hatred between “people groups” alive and burning for their beneift which includes but not limited to money, power etc.
As of now the human kind has not yet learned to resist impulsiveness and eloquence hence reasonable responses cannot be expected from any side.
And as long as points exclusivity in Theology remains these things will happen from the side of Radicals too.
I mean the conflict between muslims and th west is rooted on Theology.
People do not know how to handle exclusivity in another person’s beleifs and force conformance inorder to bring peace which recoils ultiately.
    For example,

A true Muslims consider Koran alone to be the word of GOD. This excludes many others.
A true christian considers Jesus is the ONLY way of Salvation. This excludes many others.
Hinduism is known outside to be a very tolerant language that accepts elements from other beleifs. This is not fully true because a true hindu will NEVER surrender “The LAW of Karma” & “Reincarnation”

What happens when a true Muslim, a true Christian and a true Hindu comes together? Though it is possible to live in peace and love and even discuss each other’s beleifs without forcing others to comfirm to each one’s beleifs, normally it is found that people live in a sort of fear about others who have differrent convictions. And this fear is exploited by crooked people. And as an old saying goes sadly “Crooked by nature, cannot be made straight by education” :-(
