[Kannada] translation status

The Gnome/kde translations 
(http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gtp/status/gnome-2.4/kn/) haven't 
seen any improvement for a long time and there are just 2 translators 
working on it. Younger teams like Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi have 
overtaken us and they don't have an army of translators either.
I hacked a  script (http://kannada.sourceforge.net/phonetic2kannada.zip) 
to convert a transliterated po file (eg: msgid "file" msgstr "kaData") 
to get converted to utf-8 encoded po file using arun sharma's 
script(http://www.sharma-home.net/people/adsharma/languages/scripts/translit.py) 
to do the conversion. The conversion may not be accurate, but that is 
not the point of the script.
