[Kannada] Indic fonts for Frame buffer enabled linux kernel

Hello All,
I have enabled my kernel ( 2.4.22) for Frame buffer & i want run gtk+ 
application using Directfb. Actually i am targetting my GUI application with 
INDIC font support.

I have gtk+-directfb-2.0.9, Directfb-0.9..20 installed with pango-1.2.5, 
fontconfig-2.2.92, atk-1.2.4, and glib 2.2.3.

All the installation procedures went fine even confirming that with some demo 
and example codes giving verification.

Now to go ahead with the intension of supporting INDIC fonts what and all my 
system should have and how to go ahead getting the support of INDIC fonts in 
my application on this system?

I sincerely expect a good helping hand from your end at the earliest.
