[Kannada] New, need help with Kannada on Fedora

Hey, I was able to install kannada fonts following the instructions on
kannada.sf.net. BTW, there's a typo on the instructions page which
walks us thru the font-installation stuff. The line should be

$ xset fp rehash

(the page says +fp, and that made me read "man xset";-)

I didn't have to run localify.py since Fedora Core 3 x86_64 came with
the kannaDa locale (I guess this is the result of clicking on
"Kannada" when the installation asked for which languages I need
support).

And indeed, it is Konqueror which renders Kannada best.

BTW, I am still waiting for inputs on whether or not I can just create
my *.mo files and start kannaDizing apps without having to connect to
the internet (I plan to do it in bulk from my office --- assuming I'll
get lots of time to do the translations, that is:-).

Also, I can see Gedit with a complete kannaDa GUI.

Cheers
Kiran
